I would like to start by wishing you a Happy New Year 2021. In fact, the year 2020 has been unfavorable in many aspects for the entire world. Don’t really know, that how the year 2021 is going to be. But that is the spirit of life and the virtue of time as well which teaches us to keep on moving to hope for the best. So, let us be the firm believer that the time is going to change it’s just we’ve to keep trying and keep and moving forward.

Let me switch back to our actual subject without much deviation, which is ‘The New Year Resolution’.

To begin with, I would like I ask a question, “What’s been your achievement last year i.e., 2020?”

Just hold on for a moment….! You’re not supposed to consider any materials or monetary things you’ve added to your life.

Do you’ve something to mention? Or, to achieve your materialistic goals, you’ve added many inadequate biological parameters into your health reports.  Quite possible you could have not spared some time to get those evaluated as well. Or it could be the grace of god everything alright so far (those who don’t believe in God may fit in the relevant thing they believe in). But believe me, it’s not going to be fine like this.

Let me try defining “What does it mean by health and fitness?”

  • Fitness…! It is something which 80% of the people keep as a post-retirement plan. But I guarantee by then your body and mind would not be in the position to accommodate this new change. In fact, this post-retirement plan remains a plan only.
  • Or it is something people do not start unless it’s strongly recommended by their doctor considering the shaken biological numbers.

It’s the time you need to include health, fitness, and family into your agenda along with your many materialistic objectives for a healthy and happy life.

You don’t have to be great to start, but you’ve to start to be great.

So, here are the 5 tips you must consider for staying healthy, fit, and relaxed which eventually makes you productive and wealthy as well.

  1. Regular Exercise
Don’t plan anything too hard, be realistic, and keep it easy and the most important thing just you need to start.
You could start with any easiest form of exercise which suits to you. It could be just 15-20 minutes of Yoga, Meditation, Walking, Running, Cycling, Gymming, or any physical activity you’re comfortable to.
  1. Diet Control & Reduce the Toxicity
  • Need to follow a healthy and balanced diet.
  • There are certain things that need to be controlled by any age group.
  • Avoid junk food, controlled sugar, and salt intake, avoid or less consumption of alcohol, smoke, and tobacco.
  1. Avoid Distraction
Nowadays the Internet, Social media, and Gadgets are something that are causing maximum distractions. Sometimes it could be a good source of relaxation but need to be cautious this relaxation is not becoming an addiction. If it is, then just you need to have a schedule for this rather than an unplanned thing.
  1. Family & Friends
There is nothing better than spending time with family and friends. You should plan short trips or outings at least every two months. Make sure you’re spending some quality time with your life partner, children, and parents. If you’re a parent, make sure you’re involved with your kids in such a way that they’re comfortable with you to share anything they’re dealing with or struggling with. So, it’s time to make them friends before they make a bad friend. They need your time after all they’re the future.
  1. Recall your Hobbies:
You need to recall your hobbies which makes you feel happy and relaxed. It could be Music, Reading, Cooking, Travelling, Photography, Painting, or anything which you’ve been enjoying.
Or, if something has been on the list it’s the time to act on it rather than thinking it’s too late to start. Though sometimes it’s odd to see yourself as the most senior student in any music or hobby class but believe me the moment you come out of an age mindset, you’re the achiever.
I know these points are not something which anybody does not know it’s just some inertia for the change. But I would request you to start with something if you’ve not been doing it.

What’s my new year resolution?
As an author of the article and Co-Founder of the organization let me share my resolution for this new year.

Most of the things which I recommended you I’ve already adopted, that’s the reason I could think over advising. But there are certain things which I plan to do this year some of those are as follows.

  • I plan to reduce my working hours a little, it’s 85-90 hours/ week with no day off. But I promise my customers and stake owners it’s not going to create any impact or difference in our support and innovation. Instead, I want to make my schedule more productive for the benefit of Customers and the Organization.
  • Minimum 500 Kms of cycling. It sounds more but when we split it’s not more than 15-20 KM/ week, which means it’s not something unrealistic.
  • I want to learn to play lawn tennis along with my son.
  • I’ve been practicing simple and power forms of Yoga from the last couple of years. Every year I used to include learning of one complex form of Yoga or an Exercise which I feel is the most difficult. I love being in an uncomfortable situation, I feel that’s moment learning is maximum.
For this year I’d planned for Horizontal Planche, but unfortunately this time I’ve to knock this off from my list as due to a recent surgery my Doctor is not recommending it.

That’s it for now.
So…! Let me ask now from you, “What’s your new year resolution?”
Once again Happy New Year 2021.
